Coalville is signposted from all major motorways nearby (M1, M42 & M69).  The town lies between Derby, Birmingham, Tamworth and Nottingham.  Nearby lies the market town of Ashby de la Zouch (4 miles), Market Bosworth (9 miles), and the lively university town of Loughborough (9 miles).

There is no train line in the town, but East Midlands Airport is serviced by the East Midlands Parkway trainline, running between Leiceser and Nottingham, with a service bus connecting passengers to East Midlands Airport, Castle Donnington.
